Wassup Community,
Your boy is back and let me start with this - these are the first earbuds I forget I’m even wearing. I’ve tried in-ears, half-in-ears, bone conduction… nothing felt quite right. But the Ear (open) with that tripoint design? Genius. They sit on your ear in a way that’s weirdly perfect - no pressure, no itch, and they never fall off.
I personally take a lot of bike taxis, and normally I don’t even wear earphones while riding because the wind just blows them away or makes them useless. With these, they stay locked in. Even when I turn my head or hit bumps, they don’t move and I freaking love that. And let’s dive deeper.

🎧 Design
There’s something instantly futuristic about Ear (open). The transparent materials, the mix of metal and soft silicone, and that open-ear silhouette - it’s the kind of product that makes people stop and stare. Especially in India, where open-ear earbuds aren’t a common sight yet, I often catch people trying to figure out if I’m wearing headphones or earrings. It’s funny, but honestly, I kinda enjoy the attention.
Nothing’s design language really shines here. Every curve and cut feels deliberate - from the way the hooks wrap comfortably around the ear to how the buds almost float in place. You can tell they’ve thought through not just how it looks, but how it feels to wear. It’s lightweight, airy, and somehow manages to look bold without being bulky.
The case, though, could use some work. It’s slim but stretches your pocket a bit more than you’d expect. Not a dealbreaker, but I’d love to see a more compact for the next generation.
And, Please, give us a black version. The current white-silver finish looks cool, but as someone dark-skinned, it stands out a bit too much. A matte black or smoky transparent one would be a total win.

🔋 Battery Life
Let me be dramatic for a second, the battery life is SO GOOD. I honestly don’t even remember the last time I had to charge them. I use them on and off throughout the day - for calls, music, quick scrolls, even while working and somehow they just keep going.
Most TWS earbuds start gasping for power after a few calls and songs, but these don’t. The numbers Nothing claims are 8 hours on the buds, 30 hours with the case and are so true.
Even a quick 10-minute top-up gives you a couple more hours, which is perfect when you’re heading out and forgot to charge. Honestly, battery anxiety just isn’t a thing with these.

🎵 Sound Quality
For open-ear buds, the tuning is surprisingly great. The mids and vocals sound clear and open, and there’s this airy feel to the music that keeps everything light and natural. It doesn’t try too hard to isolate you - instead, it blends with your surroundings in a really organic way.
You also get Advanced EQ in the Nothing X app, which lets you fine-tune the sound based on your personal hearing. It’s a thoughtful feature that actually makes a difference - I love that.
Now, one thing to note: the volume can feel a bit low at times, especially outdoors. And fit matters - a slight change in position on your ear changes the whole sound experience. Wear them right and it’s perfect.

🎙️ Mic & Calls
Here’s where they beat most regular TWS - the mic quality is genuinely solid. People hear me clearly even when I’m walking down a busy road. There’s no muffling, no weird compression, and surprisingly little background chaos.
Nothing’s AI Clear Voice Technology actually does its job here, cutting through wind and noise to keep your voice front and center. If you take a lot of calls or voice notes, this one’s an easy win.

💭 Who Are These For?
If you’ve never used open-ear earbuds before, this might just be your first love story. They were new to me too, and I freaking love them now.
Ear (open) is made for people who want music and awareness at the same time, those who don’t want to block out the world to enjoy their playlists. Perfect for riders, office folks, casual listeners, or anyone who hates that in-ear pressure from traditional earbuds.
It’s a more natural, open way to listen - once you get used to it, there’s really no going back.

🏁 Final Thought
And yes, after almost a year since launch, they’re finally available in India, and at a crazy good deal. If you’ve been thinking about trying something different from the usual TWS earbuds, just go check these out.
That’s about it. Simple, stylish, and genuinely fun to use - Nothing’s Ear (open) might just change how you think about earbuds. And let me know how the product shots were and I also made a match cut reel check that out here.
