They’re going to give no bloatware to the 10 people who bought the Nothing Phone 3. This brand keeps taking Ls, keeps launching phones, and keeps restricting useless AI features. I was a happy owner of the CMF Phone 1 and Nothing Phone 2a Pro, but the number of unoptimized updates has killed all my love for this brand. Months ago, Android 15 was the worst Android update…., and it made me so frustrated. I used to recommend Nothing phones to almost everyone, but now I blindly say: anything but Nothing. They’ve completely ruined my trust. So far, I’ve made around 100 people rethink buying Nothing phones, and I’m happy about that.
Delayed updates and features are understandable, but unoptimized updates and bugs are not. I think the poor sales of the CMF 2 Pro and Phone 3 might have taught them a good lesson. The founder and co-founder keep their egos high but show no competence when it comes to delivering performance. @CarlPei is the biggest hypocrite in this ecosystem. First, he claimed all their phones would have the same AI and software features, then he made some useless AI features exclusive to certain phones. Their best-selling phones are the Phone 2a and CMF 1, yet they receive the least support. This forum is full of complaints, yet months go by without solutions. They were supposed to be different from other brands in the industry, but with every product launch, they create cheap controversies just to get PR. Honestly, it’s not a good sign, it feels shallow and amateurish after some time.
Also, if my existing phones ever get bloatware that provides this brand any monetary benefit, I will file a complaint with the consumer commission. Let’s see how it goes. They can do whatever they want with new phones, but older phones were promised a bloatware-free experience, and I will stick to that promise until my phone dies.
