LockGlimpseUnEnjoyer I took screenshots of the EULA from my CMF1/NOS4.0 and fed it into chatGPT and compared it to the EULA from CMF1/NOS3.2 and the NP3/NOS4.0 to compare contrast.
I’m not convinced that this is/was “illegal” per se.
However, it’s been poorly implemented more than once. I believe this was due to time pressure. I’m curious more about the milestones that have to be met to unlock that Series C funding. Perhaps the first tranche was related to rolling these out and now that it’s been released, they can be rolled back and other revenue sources can be examined. That would also explain the rush.
I would hope that NOTHING would simply raise prices to cover that shortfall. I naively assume that it would be around 7-10% of the RRP but that’s speculation on my part.
The other factor at play globally is the memory shortages. This will automatically raise the prices of all consumer electronics, thus, NOTHING can really simply increase the profit margin there to cover BOTH the memory price increase and the loss of indirect revenue per handset. It’s extremely convenient timing for NOTHING and horrible for me and I wanted to pick up for 4 more RTX A series GPUs for the lab.
