To me it feels really slimy.
In the Beta announcement post, along with the majority of setting it up, at the time I downloaded it and looked into it, it did not say that it was a third party service. It was added into the description as if Nothing had designed and implemented it.
To find out its a third party service, and one by essentially a chinese data scraping company? Slimy. Really not great. That right there tarnishes anything you guys might add in the future, in my opinion. I know for me, Ill constantly be wondering, "Did Nothing make this, or is it one of their “partner apps?”
If you had worded it in the announcement “We worked with X Company to bring you this potentially exciting experience thats optional” I think it might have gone over better, but its still just… gross.
