After using Nothing OS 4 for a while, I can’t help but feel that it’s a very minor update compared to what other brands are bringing to the table — especially OxygenOS 16.
While OxygenOS 16 introduced a massive OS overhaul packed with AI-powered features like smart cutouts, AI-based photo editing, automatic note summaries, and contextual smart suggestions, Nothing OS 4 feels like it’s playing it safe.
There’s no major AI integration, no real leap in productivity tools, and no standout “wow” feature that makes the update feel next-gen.
Yes, the UI still looks clean and minimal, and performance is smooth — but in 2025, that’s not enough. With AI becoming a key part of smartphone experiences, Nothing OS 4 feels outdated right from launch.
I genuinely hope Nothing takes note of this feedback and starts focusing on AI-driven innovation in future updates. The hardware is great — now it’s time for the software to catch up.
What are your thoughts? Do you think Nothing OS 4 missed the mark compared to OxygenOS 16?
