Nothing OS provides a clean and fluid experience, but there are a few areas that could be improved. I have noticed two issues that, if addressed, could enhance user security:
1. Phone Off Verification: Nothing OS includes a useful feature that requires entering the lock screen password before switching off the phone. However, this only works when the phone is locked. If someone is actively using the phone and it gets snatched while unlocked, the thief can easily power it off without any restrictions, making it harder to track.
Suggestion: The phone should always require password verification before powering off, regardless of whether it is locked or unlocked. This would enhance security, especially in theft scenarios.
2. App Lock and Lock Screen Password Are the Same: In Nothing OS, the same password is used for both app lock and lock screen. Sometimes, we might have to share our lock screen password with someone, which raises a security concern as they can also access our locked apps.
Suggestion: Other brands like Realme, Redmi, and Vivo provide separate passwords for the lock screen and app lock. Nothing OS should also implement this feature to strengthen privacy and security.
