I’ve been using Nothing OS as my daily driver, and there are a few areas where small but meaningful changes could make a big difference to the overall experience. These aren’t complaints — they’re practical suggestions that would really refine day-to-day usability.

Gesture Navigation During Gaming
The current gesture overlay while playing games doesn’t feel responsive. Swiping back often takes two or three tries, which breaks immersion. A more accurate gesture response or a dedicated in-game navigation setting would make a huge difference.
Punch-Hole Camera Masking
In some games, the punch-hole camera area overlaps with on-screen controls or UI elements. A simple option to mask that area with a black bar would solve this and provide a cleaner, more consistent full-screen experience.
Volume Slider Placement
The volume slider always appears on the left side of the screen. For right-handed users, this makes one-handed control awkward. Adding a setting to choose the slider position (left or right) would make volume control far more ergonomic.
Optional Keyboard Bar
The bar that appears below the keyboard to hide or switch it feels unnecessary and interrupts typing flow. If there was a toggle to remove it, the keyboard could sit flush with the screen which would be a much better experience, especially for fast typers.
Gesture Support with Keyboard Open
When the keyboard is active, swipe gestures stop working at their usual swipe area and you have to swipe on top of the keyboard. This limits multitasking for example, scrolling up to reference part of an email while typing becomes harder. If gestures could remain active with the keyboard open, it would make navigation much smoother.
Notification Button Labels
The minimalist quick settings look clean, but icon-only buttons can be confusing at a glance. Adding an optional label below each icon would help users identify functions faster, especially when they’re new to the device. I was like uhh no label buttons ?

I’m a long user of Nothing products, And love my nothing phone 2….don’t real want to move from it as it’s almost perfect!

I’m a long user of XDA forums too, and just wondering if we could get a on/off switch option to use the video recording red light that comes on…use this as a notification light while screen is off? So you know if you need to check your phone or not. Yes there is Glyphs but that red little light is very subtle and would be a huge feature option 👍🏻😉
