As a regular user of the CMF Phone 1, I’ve really enjoyed many of its design choices and performance. However, there’s one particular issue that keeps bothering me every day — the lack of a standard app drawer like those found in Xiaomi or Honor phones.
In my daily use, I’ve noticed that every time I install or uninstall an app, the icons on my home screen automatically shift or rearrange. This becomes very frustrating, especially when I’ve organized my apps a certain way and suddenly everything changes. I lose time searching for where things have moved, and it breaks the smooth experience I expect from a modern smartphone.
On devices like Xiaomi, Honor, or even traditional Android launchers, there’s a standard drawer mode — where:
All apps are stored in an organized drawer.
The home screen remains stable and customizable.
I can swipe left or right to move between screens, without worrying about app icons shifting.
This system helps keep things clean, consistent, and user-friendly. I honestly miss that kind of stability in the CMF Phone 1.
My Personal Request:
I sincerely hope that the CMF/Nothing development team will consider adding a “Standard App Drawer Mode” in future updates. Even having it as an optional setting would make a huge difference. It would allow users like me to:
Keep the home screen layout fixed.
Access all apps in one place.
Customize the experience to fit personal preferences.
I truly like the CMF Phone 1, and I want it to get better with each update. I believe many users will benefit from this feature — and it would make the phone even more complete and enjoyable to use.
This is a small suggestion based on my personal experience, but I hope it reaches the team and brings positive changes for all of us using CMF devices.
