Switching from ColorOS, I miss the multitasking abilities provided by a sidebar, having tools such as a Calculator. With a preference for minimalist home screen and drawer, I tend to rely on the sidebar to open utility apps without switching from current one.
Removing UI animations from settings (not developer settings) makes the entire experience buggy. For instance, the switching from lock screen and home screen often stutters, or shows a black screen with fingerprint circle and status bar visible. I have to raise the device for the lockscreen to reappear.
Since I work in rain, a transparent carry case is often used for the phone. The sensitivity of the both touch screen and fingerprint sensor could be enhanced with a toggle in settings, like they’ve done in ColorOS. This would be exactly opposite to the ‘pocket-mistouch prevention’ settings, which is already there in the OS. Within such a case, somehow the ‘raise to show lockscreen’ is not working, requiring key press each time.

Flip to glyph is a Great feature for a quick distraction free work session however is can be a bit dangerous considering you might miss some urgent calls from your loved ones. It’d be helpful if you could select a few contacts out of it or if you could just simply use it for putting your phone into vibration mode 🙂

Feature Request:

It’d be great to have the option to change system wide font to a supplied .ttf file. This is so critical to me personally that I can’t use a phone without this option and I’m sure many will appreciate this feature

GALLERY APP

Would like to be able to re arrange my albums on the gallery app.

Sometimes when I press on it, it takes half or a full second for the on and off light to react and I think this is just a minor flaw on the otherwise smooth OS experience, hope this will be fixed or tweaked soon.

Widgets

Hopefully we can be able to adjust the colors of the background of the native widgets, so we can color match it with othwr widgets we have from other apps for a more anesthetically pleasing home screen.

As ive said before flawless UI and OS overall, hopefully it stays that way going forward! Happiest OS experience from an android phone so far!

100% great take and all well-said, yes. Correct points (although I can’t comment about YT videos from India as I ignore them altogether due to them being drama queens just for views, as you’ve noticed). I mean #1, the whole choice is very clear:

Fact: Nothing is doing a good work.

If you agree - you stay with Nothing, enjoy Nothing phones and other products (apps included).
If you disagree - there is probably 100+ of other brands to switch to, many much cheaper for the same or better specs. There really is no reason to stick with Nothing. Hell I don’t find baseball interesting and I’m not going to baseball forums and subreddits explaining everyone how they have to change the sport or it will stay boring. But some people in Nothing community find that approach too abstract, they simply MUST have a Nothing phone, and they desire iOS more than anything. For some reason buying an iPhone is not a solution for them, lol.

Why do people in Pixel communities not whining about how everything must look like iOS? I’m yet to see a post of a “please make it look like iOS 26 to stay modern!! 😭😭” type in Pixel community. I’m yet to see people in Apple’s community asking them how macOS must look like Windows, or how iOS must look like Android. Same goes for Microsoft - why are Windows not looking like macOS? Are they dumb? Do they want to die as a company?! 🙄

But here, with our little Nothing community, like half of people want an iPhone but they are strictly refusing to buy it and they are searching for it not with Xiaomi (which is a 100% copy of iOS with their Hyper OS), but exclusively from Nothing (and Nothing was never ever advertised as trying to copy others, lmao!!).

So I switched from a Samsung Phone to the Nothing Phone 3 and I have to say that im very happy with the Phone. There are some things which I would like to see implemented to the Nothing Phones if possible. One of the things I really miss on my Samsung was the secret Folder. Especially when playing games it is a good addition to make a second account. Also I used it for social Media apps where I didn’t want to get Notifications the whole time. In my opinion it wouldn’t be bad to have it on this phone too. I don’t know maybe the other people of the community have similar thought or ideas. Let me know 🙂

Hi,

I know that Nothing OS includes a basic “Force Dark Mode” under developer options, but it doesn’t fully force dark mode in apps with custom UIs (like Facebook, some banking apps, etc.).

In comparison, Xiaomi’s MIUI has a much more advanced version of this feature — it forces dark themes even in apps that don’t support it natively. It works system-wide, regardless of the app’s internal settings.

I’d love to see this kind of full-force dark mode implemented in Nothing OS. It really helps with eye comfort and battery life, especially on OLED screens.

Nothing os is lacking of some game features such as lack of proper optimization for game and when message is received from WhatsApp or instagram it is very complex to access Instagram and WhatsApp from homescreen it would be better if would could access it from gaming sidebars
