Nothing presents itself as a music-driven, art-focused brand, which is exactly why this issue matters so much.
Many users, including myself, are facing a serious problem with AGC (Automatic Gain Control) on the Nothing Phone — especially when doing DJ livestreams, music recording, or any professional audio work.
Whenever the input volume rises, the phone automatically adjusts the gain, causing pumping, distortion, and major loss of audio quality.
What I’ve tested:
Happens with both internal and external mics
Tried multiple recording and streaming apps
No option to disable AGC
This issue has been reported before but still hasn’t been addressed in updates
For a brand that positions itself as music-centered, the lack of a Disable AGC option is a significant flaw.
Is the Nothing team planning to add a manual toggle to turn AGC off?
