Pixelation while watching dark scenes

Hey, is someone also facing similar issue where the device's screen struggle in very dark scenes

I am facing the same for couple of days.

I hope they optimize this in OS 4.0

SarthakDas_VyXaX38W2s This is an exclusive feature for Nothing phones. 🤣 U have to deal with it. They never accepted this has a bug nor explained to fix this.

Phone 3 has this problem?? Seriously!

This is the classic problem with np 2a and never got a fix. Everyone with phone 2a (including me) is having it.

Now the true flagship also has this . Now I understand it is also a feature from NOTHING🤣🤣

Well if phone 3 also has this problem. It means either two things happened: One they using cheap quality display, or some wrong display calibration. I used web youtube and black crush wasn't that visible compared to youtube app. Me using Phone 2(a) btw

I have solved this in the Developer Setting but uploading everything to the GPU. Blacks are a ton better now. I turned it oof though as I don't want to waste my battery always.

CMF1_hacker will there be any drawbacks? I am not sure if I config it as my organization setting don't allow to access developer tools

Heera it's explained in the post above: when the overlays are NOT offloaded to the GPU then pixels occur. I'm OK with this as I'd like better battery life. Some users don't want pixels and will gladly except the battery life hit. There isn't anything to explain, it's quite simple actually. Quit being so pessimistic and antagonistic. If you channeled efforts into finding solutions, you would have solved this issue earlier.

CMF1_hacker well might be because I'm on different phone than yours..Just compared it to a S25 and there the blacks blended well without any banding in the same video at similar brightness level(even though it had a red tint in the blacks)

Anonymous1014 I didn't miss the solution part at all but also focussed on the part he said after the solution.

People have already considered the solution so I didn't thank him and you're right to point that out.(Solution didn't work for me though but atleast it worked for him)
