Waiting for Nothing OS 4 on CMF Phone 1 — Can’t Wait!

I’m so excited about the upcoming Nothing OS 4 update for CMF Phone 1 — the anticipation is driving me crazy! 😅

The stable release started rolling out for the Nothing Phone 3 on November 21, and while I’m happy for those who got it, I can’t help but feel a little impatient. I’ve been hearing rumors that CMF Phone 1 might get the update in December 2025, but honestly, I’m hoping it comes sooner. 😩

It’s been a long wait, but it’s been so worth it. The new features in OS 4 (Extra Dark Mode, new lockscreen designs, floating windows, and more) look amazing. I’m especially hyped about the performance improvements and the new camera features. I’ve been using my phone for a while now, and it’s solid, but I know Nothing OS 4 will just take it to the next level. 🙌

Anyone else in the same boat?
Are you also waiting for the OS 4 update on CMF Phone 1, or do you have a different device?
If you’ve got any inside info or predictions on when we’ll get the update, I’m all ears! Seriously, I can’t wait to get my hands on it.

Deepak_Karki Hey nobody needs to predict anything, rush to their crystal ball in order to get an answer or even look at Nostradamus’ predictions if he also got something for OS 4.0: Nothing actually made a statement regarding the launch timeframe themselves:

Nothing OS 4.0 begins rolling out today starting with Phone (3) and will expand to the rest of the Nothing smartphone lineup over the coming weeks, and to CMF smartphones by the end of the year. Phone (3a) Lite will follow early next year.

So your CMF Phone 1 will most likely have to wait until late December (by the end of the year) for the update.

I think NOS 3.0 rolled out last DEC on my CMF1.

Coldpaw last year is was between Xmas and NYE that is was released for the CMF1.

Only thing in OS4 is not good is the status bar.

Old status bar hits different btw 🤔

I think they should provide option to switch between new and old status bar

I’m interested in the PLAYGROUND an if it will work on the CMF1, camera presets being a leading example that I’d love to use with my children.

MarkG13 maybe phone 3 nos4 stable has some problem…so they stopped the update… as much as i know this doesn’t affect any other device update schedule…

MarkG13 I have it and it’s worth waiting for. If the CMF1 gets Playground this will be bananas 🙂
