Android Auto Maps started Freezing during use

After updating my phone to Nothing OS 4.0 last night, Google Maps on Android Auto has started freezing during use. When the phone is connected to the car via USB cable, Maps gets stuck after around 15-20 minutes of driving and stops responding(Only Maps), and the only way to get it working again is to unplug and reconnect the cable. This problem never occurred before the OS update, and Maps on Android Auto was working perfectly with the same setup prior to upgrading, so the issue appears to have started only after moving to Nothing OS 4.0. Reported via Settings-Feedback section. As usual totally irrelevant solution reply mails with generic/standard set of steps. Reported via call as well. Assured to get the issue fixed . Will keep posted on this issue if it gets fixed.

Got to say other than this the phone has been pretty faultless. But given how much I drive and rely on Waze and stuff through my phone, this freezing issue is unacceptable.

Arcalius this is exactly how I feel. I have chosen Nothing cause of its different approach to mobile industry. I had no issues with previous NOS version and I was even able to forgot that v.4 did not bring much improvements…yet I cannot stand that it brakes things. Things that matter to me.

Daniel Freezing issue seems to have stopped now. Instead it’s getting disconnected and reconnecting on its own. Same frequency as before but instead of freezing it’s reconnecting. Seems like One fix lead to another issue

Daniel Mine also wired. Tested with 2 different cars. Still the same. Not freezing but getting disconnected and reconnecting on its own(Better than freezing but still an issue). Will raise it using feedback section. But as usual I will be getting generic reply from them for sure. I will post their reply here(to prove my above point)

sumukh_kulkarni3 Hello fellow Nothing user, I too have been “plagued” by the same issue you described in the beginning of the topic (Waze/Maps freezing at random time intervals while NP3 is connected to Android Auto) and it seems that the latest update fixed it (finally) but there is apparently another problem - the one that you described here - Android Auto is disconnecting and reconnecting on its own.
Today I found something that fixed this (bear in mind that I have never used a WIRED connection to my car, only WI-FI/BT, and I have an aftermarket carplay/aa module connected to my Audi MMI). Went into Carplay/Android auto wi-fi settings and changed the Wi-FI channel, rebooted and for a 3 hour long trip there were no disconnecting/freezing issues. I hope this helps you or others in some way.

I have the same issue, i happend once in a while but my Android Auto freeze on my Toyota Yaris.
We made a few tests and it happends only when my phone is connected, not hers (a OnePLus 7 Pro)

And it happends even if i am connected on USB or Wireless

Used in the car today AA crashed and froze 3 times. So ongoing bug.
