Hey everyone. I wanted to share a small Android app I’ve been working on called HeyBattery. It’s a simple and lightweight battery companion that focuses on giving you useful information without any unnecessary features or permissions. No ads, no analytics, nothing running in the background that drains power. The goal was to create something clean and straightforward.
The app shows your current battery level and also keeps track of how much time has passed since your phone last reached at least 80 percent while charging. This gives a more realistic picture of your battery cycle instead of only looking at full charges. It also calculates how long your device has been in deep sleep using the standard Android formula based on CPU idle time. This makes it easy to understand whether your phone is actually resting or if something in the background is preventing deep sleep.
There is also an estimated remaining time display that updates based on your past usage patterns and your current battery percentage. The interface is minimal and follows your system theme, so it works in both light and dark mode without needing configuration.
I would be happy if you tried it out and told me what you think. I’m still improving the design and adding small features, so any feedback is welcome.
