Stuttering sound with Apple dongle on NP(2)

Hi, guys. Im trying to use the Apple dongle type-c to 3.5mm on Nothing Phone (2) but I’m getting a stuttering/glitchy sound. Any ideas what the issue might be? With the same setup it works smoothly without any issues on my old Redmi phone.
My setup: Etymotic ER2XR + Apple Dongle + Apple Music + UAPP (USB Audio Player Pro)

I have tested NP2 with an Apple type-c to 3.5mm myself and haven’t experienced any issues.

That being said, adapters can be a bit hit and miss.

Have you tested without using UAPP?

Have you tested other headphones?

Derren hey Derren thanks for the response. Just tested without UAPP seems to be working fine, not glitchy anymore. Although the headphones suffer from low volume/ power, which is why I was using UAPP in the first place. Also I tried different headphones, same issue. Works fine on my old Android.

Derren I just realised even without UAPP, Apple dongle has a crackling sound on NP(2) but not on my old Android.

Yes, I tried the OnePlus dongle, its not recognised by UAPP but it’s working perfectly otherwise.

I also spoke to a few other people 1 of them confirmed to be having identical issues with the Apple dongle.

The other person who previously said that he had no issues with any of his adapters (before recent OS updates) rechecked and confirmed one of his adapters (FiiO btr5) were not working properly anymore (after recent OS updates).

(P.S. This person had only previously tested the apple dongle and found no issues (before updates), he does not own one to recheck after the OS updates)

It’s unclear which exact update was the turning point, but I can be fairly sure it’s because of it and not because of any hardware issues.

Any solutions?

yashkhataokar Based on my experience with adapters, and based on what I’ve seen from other people’s experiences, they can be quite temperamental. And I believe this to be the case with other devices too.

If you have reason to believe this loss of functionality is caused by a recent update then I would certainly consider leaving feedback in the relevant OS discussion in Newsroom or by making use of the feedback option on your device Settings > System > Feedback, should this be currently available for you.

Would it be possible for you to check the Apple USB-C to 3.5mm (MU7E2ZM/A) on NP(2) with latest OS (2.5.1.A) to confirm the status (if it’s still perfectly operational or not) ?
