Why the basic functions depends on cloud memory

Hi Team,

I am forced to use Google memory for call register, contacts, Notes and messages. All those messages and calls are not much important to store in the cloud. I have devie memory of 256 gb, still I have to purchase a memory from Google.

Why dont I get the option to decide the memory?

Individual Google apps, such as Contacts usually has an option in the settings to sync your contacts with your Google account. You can disable this and make it use your phone storage to store contacts instead. This can be done with many of the Google apps, try checking them out.
