Feeling nostalgic? Because we’re taking a trip back in time! As you all know, the winning design of the Phone (3a) Community Edition by @EmreKayganaci is very much inspired by the character and aesthetics of late 1990s and early 2000s electronics , when tech looked starkly different from what we see today. Phone (3a) Community Edition takes a bold, nostalgic colour exploration that feels like a game gadget from the past while staying true to the Nothing Phone (3a) DNA. It reminds us of an era when new tech felt more magical and exciting.
Now, we have a challenge for you. This time, we’re blending today with yesterday and we want you to create a frame where the past meets the present. Let’s rewind a little and relive the charm of the 90s with a fun twist of modern life!
We’re inviting you to recreate a present-day picture, but swap one modern-day item with its 90s counterpart. Think smartphones replaced by pagers, Bluetooth speakers swapped for portable Walkmans, modern sneakers replaced with canvas classics, LED bulbs switched out for filament lamps or anything that brings back the era of cassette tapes, floppy disks and polka-dot shirts.
It can be nostalgic. It can be emotional. It can be hilarious. Your creativity sets the tone!
We’ll pick the entry that best capture the theme, and the winner will take home a brand-new Headphone (1) in Black.

T&Cs: The contest will end on 9th December at 13:00 GMT. One community member whose entry best captures the nostalgia by swapping a modern-day item with its 90s counterpart, will be selected to receive one Nothing Headphone (1) in Black. A member of the Nothing team will be in touch via private message on Nothing Community to notify the winner. The winner must have DMs open in order to be contacted. The winner must respond to this DM within 48 hours to claim, or will forfeit their prize and a new winner will be selected. Please note, there are some regions we may not be able to ship to. Some regions may block the delivery of products over a certain value, and we are unable to bypass these restrictions. Nothing staff and members of their family are not eligible to participate or win. Any spam accounts or accounts that we deem suspicious will be excluded from the random selection process and prevented from winning without notification. Nothing reserves the right to adjust the giveaway and its terms and conditions and entry requirements at any time. The winner will need to provide some personal data to claim their prize.
