A message to loyal Nothing users and fans !

We know Nothing changed it vibes to mention that they are recovering and getting better but does it really affect you as user ? I choose Nothing after hearing that company listens to community voice but looking here it doesn't seems much. I choose Nothing because of software but started seeing bloatware and Adware for #revenue growth!. I choose Nothing because of best software but now seeing glitches which I mentioned eagerly in mad way and also in respected way but did they really brought change? No the situations are as it is. I spent hours defending from those who tried to mock the brand, I told myself to have patience things will get better this brand could be my emotion but no I was wrong. It was like waste of my time, as how much they listen I don't know or how it really helped community I don't know. Here's all I want to say to those who put their emotions in brands ! To extreme Nothing fans: You may not want to admit it, but deep down, you already know. You once defended Nothing fiercely, arguing with others in comment sections late into the night. You once mocked and dismissed other brands just to prove that Nothing was more rational, more mature, more advanced. You once explained away years of stagnant hardware as restraint, strategy, or long term planning, repeating those words so often that you almost believed they would eventually turn into real progress. And when Nothing was questioned, you instinctively stepped forward to shield it, because you were no longer just a customer. You had tied part of your identity to the brand. But what did you actually get in return? Not greater respect as a user. Not clear answers. Not meaningful progress. What you got was five consecutive years of nearly unchanged core hardware, each time wrapped in a newly polished narrative. What you got was a brief sense of self comfort after every launch, followed by the same unspoken expectation that you would once again step in to explain everything when doubts resurfaced. A brand that truly sees you as one of its own would never require you to spend year after year exhausting your emotions to justify its stagnation. If you were truly one of its own, you would not be asked to understand endlessly, to tolerate endlessly, and to constantly find excuses on its behalf. The reality is that Nothing has grown accustomed to your loyalty, but not to responding to your expectations. This is not your fault. The fault is not that you once chose to believe, but that while you continued to give loyalty, that loyalty was quietly taken for granted. You were not irrational. You were sincere. You were not deceived. You were ignored. Awakening is not a betrayal, nor is it a denial of your past choices. It is simply allowing yourself to stop and ask one honest question for your present self. If a brand requires you to repeatedly sacrifice your time, dignity, and emotions just to defend its stagnation, are you really loving it, or are you paying the cost for something that no longer cares about you? This company is past its prime, they are a part of the crowd now. I remember how till NP2, people used to have curiosity about Nothing phones and Carl Pei but the way they have disappointed NP2 users, that reflected in their sales of NP3 of whose price they had to quietly reduce coz max NP1 NP2 users picked another company’s phone over their latest offering? And why is that?

Substandard cameras and post processing
Over focus on widgets instead of handy customisations which can make UI user friendly.
Lack of features in their gallery app, for every big thing, we need to open google photos or a third party editing app which is not the case in ColorOS/HyperOS based phones. Nothing gallery still lacks basic features like eraser, highlighter pen despite 4.0 update.
No universal audio equaliser which can be used by third party headphones which makes audio experience on NP2 extremely ordinary, unless you own their expensive TWS earbuds and use Nothing X to tune them.
Bugs and UI glitches.
No stock dialer with anonymous call recording feature.

It’s not like we as users did not provide feedback or logs to Nothing support, its just that they never bothered to listen and do necessary changes in their software. And with 4.0 update still not resolving aforementioned shortcomings, i have lost hopes that they’ll ever bring these improvements. One thing is for sure, my next device won’t be from this company.

Well, about Samsung, as for me, they already went from the stock One UI feel which meant “an ability to use our phone by ONE hand”, naturally. Now it’s gone but they added many other features. TM Roh… someone wants to fire him and fire an old JR Koh (forgot his name, may be wrong).

Speaking about UI. In fact every brand ended his life now as an apple copy in some point. Samsung did it less, Google did it a bit less, Nothing is trying to stay its way. I’m just happy I’m not getting another copy of apple in Nothing tbh. Because I still remember time when UI’s were unique in their way and every brand was recognisable by their navbar icons or even emojis (remember LG or HTC emojis? That was something, for real).

Speaking about quality. Well, Nothing does balanced devices for everyday use. They still have what to fix. I still wish the stock camera to be more superior as other brands offer. They make mistakes now, at my point. Like, what the purpose, if that’s real, make a Headphone (a) and a pink Nothing (whaaaaat???). Anyway, I can only suggest other ideas on how they can stay in the market at least, I’m not working here to say how they’re doing and why they’re doing such decisions.

We dont spend time using the phone alone, we use apps in phone…

If that makes any sense…

If the phone has good display, and chipset and also the memory, then it’s all about apps…

So there is that one truth.

We should have to realise that relationship and let decisions of Nothing effect us just as a customer, if it’s something more for you, then I’m sorry and congratulations, you are in a one-sided relationship.

Even though I just recently joined as a user of Nothing products — currently the Nothing Phone 3 and Ear 3 — I have a similar feeling.

Initially, I was content with my purchase and decided to invest in their latest round of funding.

However, I recently discovered that the Phone 3 has USB-C version 2, so it cannot connect via USB-C display to offer a desktop experience. This is a feature that my previous phone, a OnePlus 7 from 2019, had, albeit not as well as a Samsung Galaxy S23 Dex.

I can connect the OnePlus 7 to a UGREEN USB-C hub to access wired internet, USB-A ports, and HDMI output.

Android Desktop mode is actively being developed and will be available on all devices running Android 16 sooner or later.

I know this probably won’t happen, but providing an updated USB-C board with display capability as a drop-in upgrade for the Phone 3 would increase community credibility significantly. Of course, customers would cover the cost of the board and installation.

In any case, here’s hoping for the best.

OHMIC i genuinely don’t understand why people are so bugged by this whole company making money by adding a few default apps.

You can uninstall them and you can diable the lock screen thing. Nothing is far far far better than every single company but then you also need to understand theyre a business and they need to make money. Just like you ask questions investors also ask questions. I just feel the community members crying about this particular problem are just plain lazy and want to complain about everything.

I was okay with software but it’s affecting my phones hardware also well you should definitely check that #Colour Banding.

The identity for brand is known it should be there !

The words they used (No bloatware )when they launched their first phone (Phone 1) they need to grounded up with their words.

Don’t you think adding these things in middle of nowhere is good policy?

And as a NP3 user I’m facing hardware issues due to software isn’t that good even If I cope with bloatware and Adware decision atleast the software must be optimised against won’t you think

If you pay a flagship price won’t you think you put your flagship efforts to earn that flagship money and in the end you face the issues like

Leoth in Android 16 release notes nothing said. Nothing OS 4.0 takes advantage of live updates of Android 16, and we are no longer restricted to our partners tie ups. BUT EVEN AFTER NOTHING OS 4.0 STABLE UPDATE RELEASE, there is literally no live updates implementation. This is pure negligence.

I understand you bro, I brought nothing phone 2 for 45k instead of iPhone, OnePlus and iqoo at the same price range just listening to all the positive things and hearing it’s camera is better than iPhone, but I have to say it was my worst choice till now in mobile phones, avg battery compared to the same price range mobiles, camera was good for 1-2 months after that software update fuked it up completely, low brightness not visible in sunlight, slow battery charging, not giving chargers like some fuking 1st rate brand, 8gen1 not fully optimised, ram or cache memory not working properly like background apps restarts when opening again, just some good looking mobile which we have to cover to protect it, avg speakers, no fuking features and when you open nothing community people say why do you need it who uses it , not everyone is like you and need these features, like hidden apps introduced now, no app drawer slide feature which is so useful, multitasking is shit without that, no features in game mode, i feel jealous of these features from my friends phone which is still cheaper or of the same price range and now last no water proof for 45k price range? Fuk got my phone in water for few seconds and microphone fuked up repair cost 2,200 rupees, and also i don’t know the price but still they fuking charged 200-300 rupees for adhesive to glue it back, i mean for that price maybe we can get whole bottle?
