I have been struggling with the physical buttons on both sides of phone 3 from various perspectives.
- Their pushing sensitivity is very high, in which they can easily be triggered by any simple touch (especially if you have a case attached to the phone, in that case its even higher).
- The sizes of both the volume buttons on the left, and the turn on/off button on the right are identical, which gives a higher chance for the user to make human error mistakes with them. The placement of all buttons are also affecting that point in its own way.
Here are some of the everyday human error mistakes I’m constantly facing due to the addressed points above.
- Taking unintended screenshots non-stop (sensitivity + placement + size); almost 5 unintended screenshots daily.
- Volume decrease/increase every time I simply touch the buttons (sensitivity + size).
- Car Phone holders not being compatible with the phone buttons at all, they always turn off the phone and decrease/increase volume when attaching it to the phone holder(sensitivity + placement).
- Essential Space button pushed with a simple touch (sensitivity)
I would really suggest making the sensitivity lower, with adjusting the volume buttons sizes to be smaller, and slightly change the placement of buttons.
