JP just answering that I wasn’t saying it’s a remove button, only a disable which allows to “remove”. Or that’s what they implied.

Not like other apps where you only disable, it should be removed from the partition when tap disable.

I think they can’t remove it completely because they must have signed contracts and all… so they’re giving this option…

I did removed lock glimpse via adb commands and reset app preferences and after some days there is no traces of that app in my cmf ph1…

I am still looking for answers how it happened…😂 Im Happy that it’s gone … and it didn’t came back after the latest 15th January update 🔥

JP I guess so, it must be something about contracts (the same as meta services).

At least they give an option, I’m not sure if other brands do. I still remember all that bloatware on Samsung 😂

Oh well maybe last update already fixed that 3 sec error that everyone was saying it drained battery, if you disabled lock glimpse. If so, removing with adb maybe works the same as the update of disable?

I guess I’m gonna wait until they release appservices and lock glimpse disable option, at least for CMF there’s no info yet.

Neetholean yup…that 3 sec thing is already fixed for cmf phones when it got that update…i personally did testing of that…

We might get that remove/disable thing in next update….

JP yes, I never update until it passes a few weeks. Because there’s always bugs at first 😂

Also I didn’t want to deal with that shit so, I was unsure of what to do (before they said there were an opt to “remove” them), get a new phone or wait. So here I am, waiting.

A bit disappointed, I was enjoying the phone and clean OS… still unsure which path will nothing take. What will they do in a future? Try to be 1+, xiaomi or Samsung? I hope not. Not wanna deal with that.

I always take note of what update is working great without any issue incase some new update come and ruins everything and i can rollback…I never faced any issue on my cmf ph1…

I have my old phone realme 5 pro..which is 5 and half year old and still works great…it was laggy with latest update (A11) i downgraded it to android 10 and it got as new as unboxed.. just 60hz display bothers me

JP only thing I wanted was extra dark mode, but not worth it for ads and bloatware.

I’m unsure of what the brand’s gonna do next. Can we trust them? What if they try again on a future, without any option to “uninstall”?

Neetholean right… bloatware thing is bad business…

bRKN this got fixed with the latest nos4 released for cmf phones and other phones… so that’s old news now… you can disable it without worry of it trying to start…

The only thing is there are triggers which starts app when you press power button/screen wake up…which helps lock glimpse to change wallpaper everytime…

You can remove those also..

RapidZapper wasn’t that the reason why people was so worried? Lock glimpse sent data on background while disabled, just a few Kbs of data.

bRKN you mean that pop-up that tells “if disable some things will not work as expected” or similar, I don’t remember what says exactly…

If so, I’ve disabled multiple apps (Chrome, YouTube, YouTube music…) without problem.

People on here disabled appservices and lock glimpse without so much trouble before some phones had the ability of “remove” (this is what they added: tap disable > restart > disappears from the partition. It will come back if factory reset). Only problem was with lock glimpse trying to connect every 3 sec, which drained battery… but latest update should have that fixed. Not sure if it’s already on every phone.

I did that on cmf ph1…and there is no traces of lock glimpse 💀 there is not even a option in settings

bRKN I guess it only shows with the ones that are OS dependant on some part. Google apps show that, I’ve disabled multiple of them.

JP still no released the option to “remove” (this is for disable, but I say remove because it “removes” from the partition when reboot) from CMF1? Already on 3a lite, why CMF users are the last of all?
