Random Black Screen & Green Dots leading to Shutdown

Hi Team,

I am facing a critical stability issue with my Nothing Phone 3a. The phone has crashed twice under different circumstances:

Incident 1: While watching a video, the screen suddenly went black (audio stopped), and the phone turned off automatically.

Incident 2: The screen flickered with green dots/artifacts appearing randomly, followed by an immediate shutdown.

This seems to be a major bug in the latest update causing display/GPU instability. Please look into this urgently as the green dots concern me about potential hardware damage.

Has anyone else faced this?

GurbinderSingh it might be gpu or display driver issues…

Turn off your phone…wait for minute or two and turn it on…

Update all apps and device if updates are available…

clear cache and data of apps when that crash happened…

And meanwhile contact nothing support… they will help you regarding this issue

I did some testing and realized the issue was actually caused by a specific 4K video file I was trying to play. It seems that particular file was too heavy or corrupted, which triggered the crash.

Since I stopped playing that video, the phone hasn’t turned off and is working perfectly fine now. Thanks again for the help! 👍"
