I see that quite a few in this thread are new to the way Nothing firmware/software roll-outs work.

May I remind you of the above? It is on its way, patience, check periodically. We have all waited this long for .81, so a few more days won’t hurt.

Firmware (bot) Like others, I also get very little bass when ANC/Transparency is turned off. I tried toggling Bass Enhancement, Personalized Sound, different preset EQs, and nothing makes a difference. Please fix bass when ANC/Transparency is off.

The Sound is good even in the default balanced mode. Better than the custom EQ I was using. Those muffled vocals are also gone. Earlier in the default mode it felt like someone was singing in a pipe or a glass. But now that’s no longer a problem. Good bass👍👍

I know this is a “steak too juicy, lobster too buttery” question but if I have .81 from the beta will I need to update or is the firmware the exact same?

Chubbycandy1996 This version would be the same as the one previously tested in the Beta group, if you are currently on 1.0.1.81 from the Beta then that is the most up to date version.

I’ve updated.
For me, the bass only returns in noise-canceling mode. Personal Sound still doesn’t make a difference.
Bass enhancement maybe works on level ⅘ but the difference is very subtle. Noise cancelling off mode sucks (the sound is equal to previous firmware).

Overall, a good upgrade from the previous firmware, but a long way to go to be perfect.

Jacopo_DWU3rYoQMw not sure what your update has done but I’ve literally got head shaking bass on some songs. Although I didn’t have the headphones before .80 but still this is a huge upgrade

Jacopo_DWU3rYoQMw for me the personal setting reduces the low end a bit which results in not the low end being cut but the highend getting a slight boost. However sounds good to me. If your personal settings curve looks relatively flat I guess the nuances could be inaudible.

However I experience the same thing as you. With ANC on (transparent mode or isolation mode) the bass is super present and powerful, when I shut off ANC entirely the bass disappears with it 😅

Jacopo_DWU3rYoQMw Same issue here. Noise cancellation and Transparency modes both have decent bass. “Off” mode it goes flat - no bass at all and pretty terrible sound in general.

Overall great improvement in ANC / Transparency modes though, so I guess it’s a net positive overall. Seems just to be some quality / testing misses resulting in it not working across the board.

I also tried with 3.5mm jack. The sound was definitely not as good as when connected to the phone using ANC, but was still better than when ANC was in the “Off” mode.

Would like to see consistency across all modes in terms of sound profile.

Jacopo_DWU3rYoQMw is your issue fixed? Mine also has the same problem. If ANC is turned off, Bass Enhancements doesn’t do anything.

Jacopo_DWU3rYoQMw I just reset my headphones and it’s still the same i am even unable to retake the personal sound profile test it says i am in a call but i am talking to no one.
