I have a CMF 2 Pro on NothingOS 4.0, Build Number Galaga-B4.0-260108-1654-EEA; My location is Valencia, Spain.
I’ve been using it with 2 physical SIMs (1 Spanish by masmovil, 1 Austrian by HoT) since I got my phone and it always worked flawlessly, and I was really happy with the phone in general.
About two weeks ago, my Spanish SIM card (provider masmovil) suddenly stopped working. In the SIM settings, the number says “unknown”, the APN is empty (only says "Access Point Name settings are not available for this user), and the mobile internet doesn’t work either.
I’ve tried:
- Rebooting
- Checking for Updates (it says I’m on the latest)
- Switching the two sims - no matter which slot they are in, the HoT works, but the masmovil doesn’t. Means it can’t be a hardware issue with one of the slots.
- Trying the SIM in a different phone - there it worked!!! Means it can’t be an issue with the SIM or provider or account itself. It has to be an issue with the software of the phone itself.
- Manually adding an APN via the settings - it lets me click on the plus and enter name etc., but when I click on “Save”, it closes and nothing happens, the APN doesn’t show up.
- Adding an APN via third-party apps
- Adding an APN via my PC and the SDK platform tools
None of this worked (apart from putting the sim in a different phone). I’ve seen other posts on reddit and this forum complaining about the same issue, but the posts I’ve seen are about 2 months old, and none of the comments I’ve seen seemed to have found a solution.
Is this a known software issue with my build? when will a fix come?
