Grameenphone & Banglalink carrier comparability post 4.0 update - help

Hey everyone 👋
I’m using a Nothing Phone 3a Pro (Indian variant) in Bangladesh (Nothing isn’t officially available here).

For context: Grameenphone, Banglalink, and Robi are mobile carriers in Bangladesh.

I’ve been using this phone for about 5 months with no issues at all.
I updated to Nothing OS 4.0 about 1 week ago, and the problem started 2 days ago on Sunday, 15 February.

Here’s what’s happening now:

With Robi SIM (BD carrier) → everything works perfectly (calls, SMS, internet) ✅
With Grameenphone (BD carrier) and Banglalink (BD carrier) →
- SMS works
- But calls don’t 😕
- Outgoing calls just stay on the “calling” screen, no ringing
- Incoming calls say my phone is offline / can’t establish connection
- Signal shows full bars, so network seems fine

Things I already tried:

Reset network settings
Turned VoLTE on/off
Changed network modes (2G / 3G / 4G / 5G / Auto)
Restarted phone, reinserted SIMs, tried both slots

Still no luck. Only Robi works, Grameenphone and Banglalink don’t.

Since this started after the Nothing OS 4.0 update, I’m wondering if it’s a VoLTE / IMS / carrier compatibility bug with BD networks or the Indian variant firmware.

Anyone else facing this? Any fix or workaround would be really appreciated 🙏

Byte_Master Hey, have your tried contacting the network carrier? what did they say?

I contacted them they said my sim card is fine and also the sim is working on other phone ,

they point out that as i am facing issue only on nothing 3a pro so it might be an issue with my phone

but one thing, when i reset my network settings the sim just worked fine for a while(1-2 mins) then it’s the same issue again..

i posted on Facebook about this issue and found a guy facing the same issue with the same phone but his “ROBI” and “Airtel” sim isn’t working but in my case it’s opposite my “ROBI” just working fine..

he also said that after resetting his phone out of frustration and the problem has been solved but the issue came back few days later..

I’m having the same problem with teletalk. Call drops and also internet stops working. (exclamation mark appears) IDK if it’s phones issue or network providers

my data service is working well but call 🙂

ig it’s a issue with phone or our service provider’s as robi is working fine idk what is the cause

i use CMF Phone 2 Pro and use grameenphone sim too. i dont have any internet issues nor any voice call issues. it’s likely where you live how good the connection is. also keep in mind that in apartments that are really close to each other with tons of wifi connection points, u will lose your network or will have poor network.

The issue stays the same whether I am indoors or outdoors. I also traveled from Khulna to Dhaka yesterday, and the problem still persists. So I don’t think this is related to poor network coverage. I have contacted Nothing, and they are currently investigating the issue. I’ve also found 3–4 other users facing the same problem.
