Can I exchange my Nothing Phone (1) with a Nothing Phone (3)?

I’ll be traveling to London in a couple of months and I would like to buy the Phone (3) (or the new 4a if its out by the time I go). Is there any possibility of trading in my Phone (1) as part of the payment? I also have the first Ear, but those are a bit worn out.
Obviously I’m not expecting a big discount, but I would like to know if they would accept my phone.

Agus_Riestra Phone (4a) is being launched 5th March, so you can get it when you go in a few months, but I don’t think you can trade in your Phone (1) or Ear, as Nothing doesn’t support this kind of trade-in service yet. They may do it soon, as there are two stores (London Soho, India Bangalore) in the world right now, with two more to open (One in NYC, One in Tokyo).

Agus_Riestra unfortunately there is no trade-in programme (atleast in the UK) nor at the store. You are probably better of selling your old phone on eBay or some other market place and gettting the new phone. If you want something more instant - you could take your old phone to nearest CEX https://uk.webuy.com/ store in London and sell it to them. They seem to be selling for £130 - £185 for a Phone (1). However, be aware they will offer you way less tha. you might get yourself via eBay or something. Good Luck.

In addition what Err_404 wrote, you should keep the warranty situation in mind:

Nothing’s warranty is only valid in the country of purchase, so if you get a new NP3 or even 4a during your UK trip and there is going to be some sort of issue down the line which could be covered by warranty, it would have to be claimed with Nothing UK.

Also keep in mind the 4a will be launched on March 5th, not released? Usually they will launch and release about two weeks later, so 4a would be available by mid March.

Regarding trade-ins, Nothing doesn’t do these directly, at least here in Germany sone tech retailers like Media Markt are offering their own trade-in services however, I don’t know if something similar might be available in the UK.

I’ll be staying in London for a while, about a month or so. I go to the UK often, so that’s not a problem. Thats how I got my Phone (1) just that it was not in the store but in Amazon UK.

Yeah I saw that the announcement said something like “more news on 4a coming March 5th”. So I expect 4a on stores at least a month or so after that.
Maybe I’ll just buy Phone (3) or 4a and left the (1) for my mother or a friend

Tor Yeah, I would recommend CeX for selling your Nothing products, as I was in one CeX store yesterday, and I saw a Nothing Phone (3) in Grade A condition at £520, with another one in white in Grade B at the same price.
