A 17-year-old fan's dream: Can I get my Phone (3a) engraved from Kerala

Hey Nothing fam!

My name is Jeevanand, I’m 17, and I’m writing from Kerala. I’ve been a massive Nothing Fanboy since day one. I really wanted to be there for the grand opening of the Bengaluru store, but my exams and budget kept me away at the time. However, after saving up, I finally managed to buy my dream phone-the Nothing Phone (3a) Blue!

I absolutely love the custom engraving that is available at the official stores. Since I bought mine locally here in Kerala, I was wondering if anyone from the Nothing team could do a dedicated fan a huge favor?

Is there any way I can safely courier my phone to the

Bengaluru store to get the side engraved? I am more than happy to cover the two-way shipping costs.

Having that official, personalized touch on my first-ever Nothing device would mean the absolute world to me. Let

me know if the team can work some magic!

The engraving at the Bengaluru store is really cool, but from what I’ve seen it’s usually done only in-store because of liability and shipping risks. Stores normally don’t accept devices by courier.

If you ever travel to Bengaluru in the future, you could try visiting the Nothing store and ask them directly — they might still help you out.

Still, it’s great seeing young fans like you supporting Nothing. Hope you get that engraving someday! ✨

I want to address the shipping and liability concern directly: I am officially “anchoring” my request on the fact that I will take 100% responsibility for the device. I’m happy to sign a waiver or send a formal statement via email confirming that I accept all risks for shipping and handling. If I can find a way to manage the courier costs, I really want to make this happen.

To be open with you, I’m 17 and I’ve been saving up for a long time specifically to get this Blue Phone (3a). Because I put all my savings into the phone itself, I don’t have the extra budget for the service fee, which is why I’m hoping for a “fan exception” for the engraving. This isn’t just a phone to me—it’s a device I’ve dreamed of owning, and having it engraved would make it truly one-of-a-kind.

Is there any way the Bengaluru team could help a dedicated fan out if I handle the logistics and the risk? It would mean the world to me to have the only engraved (3a) in Kerala!

I completely understand why the engraving means a lot to you, and it’s great to see the passion you have for Nothing at such a young age.

That said, decisions like courier engraving or service exceptions are handled strictly by the store or the official Nothing support team. Community members like us unfortunately can’t approve or arrange that.

The best thing you can do is reach out to Nothing support or the Bengaluru store team directly and share your story. If the team decides to help or make a special exception, it would come from them.

I’d love some direction on who to contact at the Bengaluru store—or even at Nothing India—to discuss how I can formally take on the shipping responsibility.

He’s quite active in the community and may be able to point you in the right direction regarding the Bengaluru store and the engraving process.

Hopefully he can help you figure out whether arranging shipping and engraving is possible. Good luck — that would be a really cool thing to do with your phone.

Just to clarify, I’m only a normal community member here, not part of the Nothing team, so I don’t have direct contacts with the Bengaluru store or Nothing India.

Your best option would be to reach out through official Nothing Support so the team can see your request directly. If any exception is possible, it would have to come from them.
