I wanted to share a concept idea that has been on my mind. I am not sure whether it is technically feasible, but I personally find it very interesting and exciting.
The idea is to create a Nothing phone featuring a monochrome LCD display on the back panel.
Concept details:
A monochrome LCD integrated into the back body.
An electroluminescent (EL) backlight panel behind the LCD for a clean, uniform glow (white or potentially other colors).
The back design should maintain Nothing’s signature transparent aesthetic, including visible screws and subtle wireless charging symbols.
Full glass back with touch support.
Possible features for the back display could include:
The goal would be to keep the design minimal, functional, and aligned with Nothing’s identity, while introducing a unique secondary interaction surface.
This is just a concept idea from a user who genuinely appreciates innovative design. I would love to know your thoughts on whether something like this could be possible in the future.
