Is it just me, or after the latest March security patch update, is the app opening animation weird and broken?

Spark i don’t know about is it broken or not…but app opening/closing animation also changed for phone 3 in the last update…

You can provide a screen recording so we can further analyze what’s the problem

JP also When previewing a photo, in the Camera app and tapping on the photo, the app automatically switches to auto-rotate mode even though auto-rotate is turned off. This doesn’t happen in the Gallery app, though.

Can you test that too please…

It’s annoying in some cases

Spark yup… that was a feature… it also happens with me… it might be happening because it’s showing it in the camera app itself… and camera app supports auto rotation w/o turning it on…so we can’t do anything about that…

And are those animation present before the update? Talking about app opening/closing animation…

Spark ohhkk…did you experience any slowness/sluggish in UI…? Some users are mentioning this for 3a and 2a

Yeah the app opening animations have changed a bit but they’re not sluggish, though the earlier animations were a tad quicker.

SiddheshShanbhag I feel the same. The newer version is a bit slower; it used to be snappier.

DJ you can lower the speed of animation from developer settings… it must be set at 1.0x or something…turn it down to 0.5x or 0x ..it will feel snappier

I didn’t mean to say its too slow but just a bit 🤏which is noticeable, you know.

The new animations look smooth.
If the app is on the homescreen, it looks better
I think if the app isn’t on the Home screen, that needs to be fixed

KurroKapp Yeah, when closing apps that not placed on Homescreen the animations just shades off in the midle.

I might be an outlier I suppose, I quite like the app closing and opening animation now albeit it is slower. You can always scale down the animation speed in developer settings.

Also, bluetooth earphones get disconnected even in this update. Don’t know what they are doing despite having complained to them via their feedback form.
