No Glyph Matrix notifications

In the last few days I’ve stopped getting notification symbols on my Glyph Matrix when my phone 3 is face down. It does flash briefly when I get a message but the chosen symbol doesn’t light up. Am I doing anything wrong or is anyone else having a similar issue?

MarkG13 It’s the same for me, I haven’t found a solution yet…
For me, it’s even worse because it flashes for a moment with every message I receive, even though it’s not set to flash like that…

For me it was the activated Do Not Disturb mode that suppressed custom glyph notifications

onyx_3875 @The onion man . Thank you, it was the do not disturb that was the problem. I’ll have to try and remember that if it happens again 🙂

It’s a shame that the Glyph Matrix only displays Essential notifications when the phone is face down. It would be great if this could be configured individually.

MaihGmbH Well of course it only shows them when the phone is face down. That’s the whole point of both the Glyph Matrix and the Glyph lights. Surely it is pointless to have them displayed when you are looking at the phone screen as you wouldn’t see them?

MarkG13 As I described, I would only need to briefly turn the phone over to use the Glyph Matrix to see who has written me a message.

MarkG13 I would use that customizable notification option (when Flip to Glyph isn’t active) to get alerts for specific important emails that I need to respond to quickly, so I don’t have to check my inbox so often. My ADHD brain just can’t keep up with constantly checking my inbox.

Instead, I have to go to my email or to the Essential Notifications settings, where the latest results for all rules are displayed. I remember to do this from time to time.

If this type of notification stayed there, it would be absolutely perfect for me. If there were more notifications like this, it would be best if they all appeared one after another.

MaihGmbH I see, but surely you would get an on screen notification so you won’t need to turn the phone over?

MarkG13 Yes, that’s right. But in a conversation, it’s much less noticeable to briefly turn the phone around than to unlock it and make the swipe gestures.
