Hello friends, This is Debayan, a student and a photographer from India.
I’ve been using the Nothing Phone (4a) for the past week now. I actually received the device during my exam period, and my exams are still going on, so I didn’t really get enough time to explore the phone at its full potential.
But whenever I got some time between my exams, I did spend some time using the camera. And I must say, the camera upgrade from Phone (3a) to Phone (4a) really impressed me.
Main Camera
The main camera features a 50-megapixel Samsung GN9 sensor with Optical Image Stabilization. It captures great photos and the videos, and the colors look very good and quite natural in most situations.

Ultra Wide Camera
It features an 8MP Sony IMX355 sensor with an f/2.2 aperture. The camera captures wide scenes nicely and the colors also look quite vibrant. It works well for landscapes, architecture, or when you want to fit more into the frame.

Telephoto Camera – Last but the Best
It features a 50MP Samsung JN5 periscope telephoto camera with OIS and an f/2.8 aperture. This is probably the most notable upgrade compared to the Phone (3a) . The telephoto camera captures very good details, and the colors also look really nice. It’s especially useful when you want to capture distant subjects without losing quality.

Nothing Phone (4a) series also features some new filters for photos and videos. With these filters, the photos look posting ready straight out of the camera.

These were my early camera impressions after using the Nothing Phone (4a) for about a week only. I’ll continue using it to capture more photos throughout this month and will share more experiences soon

This new design and the Glyph Bar are also very good. This design and the white colour really won my heart. The Glyph Bar is nice as well, I just miss the music visualization feature on it. Hopefully Nothing will add that in future updates.

It will be available to buy starting from 13th March on Flipkart and at your nearest stores.
See you soon with a more detailed experience and a full review after spending more time with the device 🙂
