Hi! I’ve created a table with Nothing Phone 4 future specification (wishful thinking).

Please let’s talk about what specs do You want in future nothing flagship, and what elements do You want the most. I’ve bolded my priorities, and i’ll upgrading specs table gradually.

peepingdog Outside the Indian market and this community, the NOTHING brand doesn’t have the popularity or success that more established brands enjoy around the world. That’s why I believe they’re currently unable to invest heavily in producing a true flagship with top‑tier specs — the risk would be too high and could even be fatal for the company. Samsung and Apple can afford to ‘get a phone wrong’… NOTHING can’t.

peepingdog Honestly, I’m not too focused on specs. A decent processor and a good camera are more than enough for me; I value the overall user experience more than heavy specifications.

peepingdog What’s missing from Phone (3) is an LTPO display (1–120 Hz), a USB-C 3.2 port, an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, and a flagship SoC. I’m not asking for the latest chip, but at least give us a stable 3nm chipset for Phone (4) next year. It would give users more peace of mind in terms of future-proofing. Hopefully the team is properly “cooking” for Nothing Phone (4). Im begging.

peepingdog Interesting concept. Some of these ideas look great, especially the IP68 rating, ultrasonic fingerprint, and larger battery.

However, a few specs seem a bit unrealistic for a Nothing flagship. For example, a 6500 mAh battery with a glass design and Glyph interface might make the phone quite thick and heavy. Also, a 200 MP telephoto camera feels unnecessary unless the image processing is extremely well optimized.

Personally, I would prefer improvements in:

• Camera processing and consistency

• Better thermal management for gaming

• Longer software support

• LTPO display for better efficiency

• More useful features in Nothing OS

At the same time, many smartphone brands are now offering 6000 mAh or larger batteries, so it would be nice to see Nothing improve battery capacity as well, while still keeping the phone balanced in weight and design.

Curious to know what others think about this concept and what features they would like to see in the future flagship.

Above specs are nothing special. I’ve chosen Non-Elite Snapdragon chipset. The rest is almost the same as NP3, except of telephoto which i want to be better.

Nothing is already risking creating unusual designs.

I think that “good camera” needs better telephoto than 4a and 4a pro. I also think that it needs at least 6500 mAh battery, which is not that big nowadays.

What do You guys think about USB 3.2?

peepingdog Agree 👍. USB 3.2 would be a nice upgrade, especially for faster file transfers and creators who move large videos/photos. It’s not essential for everyone.

peepingdog Yeah… but if they could put LTPO in the Phone (2), why didn’t they put it in the Phone (3)? I think this is a missed opportunity, since LTPO is currently one of the best display technologies for smartphones.

peepingdog I think the 4a pro has a slightly better screen and slightly more zoom and you forgot the glyph matrix. but I think it is good for the same price

Yes, actually 4a pro has better telephoto than Phone 3, so i’d expect Phone 4 to have the best telephoto lens.

I’d like a modified NP2 with:

a periscope telephoto lens, a silicon‑carbon battery, eSIM, Wi‑Fi 7, and USB 3.2, saving images in HEIC (not JPEG)… that would be my perfect phone. 😅
