We’re excited to bring a series of updates to Phone (4a), improving everyday usability, focus, and customisation across the system. #### Live Updates with Glyph Bar ![](https://cdn.nothing.community/2026-03-12/1773342421-199841-untitled-design-2.gif "banner") Real-time updates now stay visible across the Always-on Display, Status Bar, Lock Screen, and Notifications, so you can stay aware without needing to open apps. When your phone is placed on the table or nearby, progress is also reflected through the Glyph Bar. This makes it easy to follow rides, deliveries, or timers at a glance. *Note:* Currently supported apps for Live Updates include Uber, Zomato, Just Eat, and Google Maps. Additional app support may vary depending on local availability and app integration. #### Relaxation Hub ![](https://cdn.nothing.community/2026-03-12/1773342057-406816-breathing-break-widgets.png "banner") Breathing Break widgets are now available in the widget library. With three modes, Focus, Relax, and Calm, they offer simple breathing exercises designed to help you reset during the day. Each mode includes tuned haptic patterns that guide your breathing and help you relax, destress, or refocus. The Soundscape Widget is currently receiving final refinements and will be added in the next OTA update. #### Essential Apps drawer ![](https://cdn.nothing.community/2026-03-13/1773387680-590323-untitled-design-6.gif "banner") Essential Apps now includes a recommendation section directly in the widget drawer. You can discover recommended Essential Apps and add them to your home screen instantly without opening Playground or any other apps. #### Lock Screen Updates ![](https://cdn.nothing.community/2026-03-12/1773342861-556000-untitled-design-4.gif "banner") We have introduced the lock screen clock face from Phone (3a) Community Edition, co-created with community member Jad Zock. It features an exclusive typeface style and a unique waking-up animation. Lock screen customisation now also supports Depth Effect (Beta), along with adjustable clock sizes and alignment options so you can create a more personalised layout. #### Essential Space Update ![](https://cdn.nothing.community/2026-03-13/1773396445-631657-workhub-2026-03-13t152039723.png "banner") Essential Space has received a major update designed to make it more organised and easier to navigate. The new layout introduces a redesigned homepage that surfaces summaries, events, and tasks in a clearer structure so you can stay on top of what matters most. As our latest launch, the Phone (4a) series is the first to receive these updates. We are preparing these features for older devices, with rollout planned in the coming weeks. Thank you for your patience.

Rohit Got it last week on my CMF 2 Pro, but not yet on my new Nothing Phones 4a. Yes, I’ve run all available app and system updates. Looking specifically for the expanded widgets drawer, which I quickly got used to on the 2 Pro.
