The current refresh interval is set to 1 minute. However, there is a limitation with how essential widgets function: they cannot run in the background. This means if your phone is asleep, you’re in another app, or even just on a different page of your home screen, the widget can’t fetch updates.
To solve this, I’ve implemented a custom trigger. Every time the widget “wakes up” or comes back into view, it immediately fetches the latest data. You might notice a couple of seconds of delay while it syncs,
but it ensures the score is much more reliable!
