Dear Nothing Team,
I am writing to share my feedback regarding the battery performance of my Nothing Phone 4a. While the device is equipped with a 5400 mAh battery, the real-world performance appears to be lower than expected under normal usage conditions.
In my experience, I typically get around 4 to 6.5 hours of screen-on time with moderate usage, including browsing, social media, and occasional camera usage. I have also noticed some idle battery drain even when the device is not actively in use.
Additionally, I have observed that other devices with similar or even smaller battery capacities (around 5000 mAh) are able to deliver significantly better screen-on time, often exceeding 7–8 hours. For instance, the Nothing Phone 3a and several other smartphones in this segment are reported by users to achieve higher battery endurance under comparable usage conditions.
I have also come across similar feedback from other users in the community, which suggests that this may not be an isolated issue. This indicates that there may be scope for further software optimization, particularly in areas such as background app management, standby efficiency, and power consumption during camera usage.
I truly appreciate the clean user experience and unique design philosophy of Nothing devices. I believe that improvements in battery optimization through future updates would significantly enhance overall user satisfaction.
I kindly request your team to look into this matter and consider addressing it in upcoming software updates.
