Phone (2) users, I think it’s time we make our voice heard.
The Phone (2) is still a very capable phone. The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, Adreno 730, up to 12GB RAM and 120Hz LTPO display are not hardware that suddenly became outdated after three years.
Yes, we know Nothing promised 3 years of Android updates. But that doesn’t mean Nothing has to stop at the minimum.
Android 17 is well within what this hardware can handle. There is no real hardware reason why the Phone (2 should be treated as if it has reached the end of its useful life.
Many of us bought the Phone (2) because we believed in Nothing and its approach to making phones differently. It was supposed to be one of the company’s flagship devices, yet seeing it potentially miss another major Android version feels like Nothing isn’t doing justice to the hardware or to the people who supported the brand early on.
We aren’t asking for something unreasonable.
We aren’t asking Nothing to support the Phone (2 forever.
Just give us one more major Android update.
Give the Phone (2) Nothing OS 5 based on Android 17.
