I am using the Nothing Phone (4a) and recently noticed a serious issue after the latest software update.
When charging the phone in normal (powered ON) condition, it shows “Rapidly charging,” but the actual charging speed is very slow (around 3% increase in 10 minutes).
However, when I switch OFF the phone and charge, it charges normally and quickly (around 25–30% in 15 minutes). This clearly indicates that the hardware (charger, cable, battery) is working properly, and the issue seems related to software.
I have already tried the following steps:
- Restarted the phone
- Reconnected charger multiple times
- Used original Nothing charger and cable
- Ensured no overheating
- Tested in different conditions
The issue persists only when the phone is ON.
This appears to be a software bug affecting charging performance after the recent update. Kindly investigate and provide a fix in next moment
