I agreed to a deal where we would trade phones, and it was already nighttime at that time. I reset my Nothing phone as well as the scammer’s phone. Then the scammer booked a Lalamove courier to pick up my phone because I didn’t have money for the booking fee. He said his phone had already been booked, and shortly after, I received a call confirming my name and address, and I said yes.
A little later, a rider arrived in front of my house to pick up my phone, and I handed it over. My mistake was that I didn’t get the rider’s contact number or the motorcycle’s plate number because I trusted that nothing bad would happen.
I waited for almost an hour and was still communicating with the scammer, but after that, he stopped replying and eventually blocked me on Facebook.
