As a team using Nothing phones every day, we kept running into the same thing. Constantly sharing screenshots, design frames, reference links, files, and bits of copied text between our computers and phones. These are small actions, but they happen all the time, and the friction adds up. So we built a simple internal tool for it. Then we realised it could be useful to the community too. #### What is Nothing Warp? Nothing Warp helps you quickly transfer files, links, copied text, and images between your computer and your Android phone. It works in both directions. It's browser extension-based, which keeps it lightweight and broadly compatible across setups. ##### A few important things to know: * It uses your own private Google Drive to move files * Nothing Warp does not store your files * Your data stays yours #### **How it works** Nothing Warp has two parts - a browser extension for Chromium-based browsers on macOS / Windows / Linux, and a lightweight Android app that adds Nothing Warp to your phone's share menu. As Rohit mentioned above, I started Nothing Warp to help internal teams to send screenshots from our phones to work laptops easier and quicker.

Once we started using it and realised the experience was actually pretty good, we thought our users are probably facing the same pain point and why not share it with our users while we are all waiting for Google to give us their AirDrop hack (if that ever even will happen..)

This release is particularly meaningful to me because it marks my final project at Nothing ❤️.

While I’m moving on, I’m not leaving you empty-handed; I’ve already mapped out a few more features for Nothing OS 5.0 that I can’t wait for you to see.

Zac This is actually crazy good.

I’ve been using WhatsApp self chat just to send stuff between my Mac and my Nothing phone files, links, random copied text everything. It works but it’s honestly such a hack and gets messy fast.

This just makes everything feel instant and clean. No extra steps, no clutter.

Big thumbs up for this one. And the fact it’s still in beta just shows how much more it can become. Really excited to see where this goes

Just a suggestion, the photos can be sent not only to me but also for the near by other nothing users like air drop in apple.

Zac Oooh, I didn’t expect this!!! It seems so much simpler and easier to use than to Quick Share files to my Windows PC via the plug-in app for Windows.

Good job Nothing, well done @Zac for presenting this new technology very well, and thank you @Raymond for developing this project! It seems that Nothing is starting to get it’s own ecosystem running here (Phones, Audio, Wearables, Software, AI, File Transfers). 😁🎉♥️

Rohit It would be even better if the extension was available on Firefox browser (hopefully), and having a native Windows x64 exe application / MacOS application for it would be great, as it could integrate directly into Windows like how the Quick Share app does already.

MIrrfan_LbRRK0sqfR cause not everything is worth saving for later use. These are mostly for transactional sharing, you can however add in into essential space once you have it on your phone.

Amazing idea and very useful tool. I tried it and it works great with pictures , text links and more .

It’s a first step towards the essential space and maybe more tools together for global usage.

Curious though: In what way does this beat Google’s quick share (or Apple’s AirDrop?) Both of these do the exact same thing but via wifi direct. It’s instant, doesn’t require a connection nor any extra apps. It allows you to share files, text, links and the likes with the press of a button.

TheDocHudson It uses Google Drive, so it is secure and easy to use. It is private due to Google Drive.

Honestly, I’m really proud and grateful to have worked with you. Sad to see you go, but very glad I got to witness the care you brought to the community. From your YouTube debut explaining Snapdragon vs MediaTek like it was light work, to projects like these, you’ve always shown how much thought and heart you put in.

You genuinely care about the community, and it shows in everything you touch. I can’t wait for them to see what you’ve been cooking for NOS 5.0.

I promise I’ll do my best to market the hell out of it for you.

Should have been better if it has remote control feature and instead of extension, it is an application in windows too.

Great stuff! It’s quicker, very useful and more stable than Phone Link. I’m on Vivaldi 90% of the time so I this is something that works seamlessly for me. Good job!
