RitwikSondhi I’m hearing a lot of people saying the heat in India is causing the phone to thermal throttle. If that’s the case, then this is a design oversight — if phones like OnePlus can charge at 80W in the same Indian climate without this level of throttling, then Nothing hasn’t designed their thermal management for the conditions most of their Indian customers actually live in.
That said, I’ll give the benefit of the doubt and run a proper test. I’ll capture the following using AccuBattery:
Charging wattage
Ambient room temperature
Phone temperature before and during charging
Using the original Nothing cable that came with the phone + CMF 140W GaN PD charger
Will post screenshots once done.
