Hi everyone,

I updated my phone to Nothing OS 4.1 (Android 16) today, and after the update, I’m facing a network issue.

My preferred network type is set to 5G

Before the update, 5G was working fine

But now it only shows 4G+

Also, the network feels weaker and slower than before

I’m using a Jio SIM, and 5G coverage is available in my area.

I’ve already checked basic settings, but the issue still persists.

Is anyone else facing the same problem after the update?

Any fix or suggestion would be really helpful.

yeah i have also faced this 5g 4g switch in nothing phones what i do is

if you live in a metro city where there is good 5g coverage

dial *#*#4636*#*# go in phone information and set preferred network to NR only ur phone will only work on 5g then

but if you get in an area where there is no 5g coverage youll have to change in again to NR/LTE only

ik this is a temporary fix but yeah this is what i uss

RTSH24 I have a 3a and I have never ever faced battery draining and heating problems. It also depends of your own usage and how often you use fast charging

@Carl Firmware bot Nothing team seems to be ignorant. At least double tap to sleep on the lock screen should have been included in this update. Thousands of user have demand double tap to sleep. I suggest team to atleat see the feedback .

I was waiting for new UI and depth effect on my nothing phone 3a pro. But nothing os 4.1 had nothing crazy in it and just a simple April Patch. I’m really disappointed from Nothing at this point here. I literally installed so many Depth effect wallpapers for new update. But just a normal April Patch. Like making us wait for 2 months and giving us nothing crazy at all is dipshit tbh.

And why os is suggesting me to install recommended apps? Like why????

I switched to nothing for better ui and bloatware free experience but today I’m kinda disappointed 😔

Ik that it’s for profit but can’t just directly do this after promoting bloatware free os for user .

Nothing is becoming nothing. Sad but it’s the truth 😔

you can remove that app…

go to settings> apps> all apps > find “app services” > disable that app… then it’ll prompt you to restart device… after restarting device this app will be completely deleted from your device

Yarala he’s talking about the lock screen, you can use double tap when the phone is unlocked but not when it’s locked, personally I don’t understand the use since the phone goes back to sleep after a brief moment anywyas

First time I am disappointed with the nothing team for adding bloatware even in the pro version of phone 3a series.. What about clean UI experience..I can understand in ‘lite’ versions for giving a solid phone at affordable price but there should be an option for uninstalling the app !
