Was on a call, phone wedged between my shoulder and ear, making tea. It slipped and fell straight into a pot of hot tea — not a cup, a pot.
Fished it out, then rinsed it under running tap water. I know, not the smartest move.
The Phone 3a Pro is rated IP64 — splash resistant, nothing more. By every measure, it should’ve been completely dead.
It’s not. The phone is still fully usable. I can literally see water trapped inside, and yeah — the bottom speaker and the optical fingerprint sensor have stopped working. But the display, the main functions, everything else? Still going.
Genuinely impressed by how much punishment this thing absorbed. Hoping the water dries out over time and the speaker + sensor recover.
Has anyone else had water get inside and seen it recover fully? Would love to know.
