When we test phones it’s mostly a technical process, drop testing, screen bending, even charging port testing. While audio does this too, we also need to hear how it sounds. Not just on a graph or a scale but to real people in real ears.
While we make sure to line up some tracks for testing, most of the time people end up playing their own selection. When you sit down to try out a new pair of headphones for the first time, what song do you play first?
