I’m using phone 2a for 2 yrs it was a great phone until the 4.0 update my phone started to suck the battery and producing more heat. They Introduce bloatware like appSetup just like in other companies. But the promise was to give a phone with 0 bloatware started to cheat like my Ex. Nothing is just another cheap trash phone but sticker on the back of the phone. Note the repairability of the phone 3 / 10. I tolerated many problems in OS bcz they have entered in the market but now it seems like Company just creating hype for marketing and nothing else. Instead of buying this phone i might get a chinese phone without bugs.

Bugs:
Camera: the second camera is just a number to show us it doesn’t have a Focus
Clock: the clock app just fails to wake u up.
Phone: the volume automatically downs to low

Bonjai there was no promise of bloatware free software

Regarding volume issue i think it’s your device issue mine is completely fine

Then regarding camera idk much as I don’t use camera that much

And clock app is also your issue

I completely agree with how badly the 2a was ruined by the OS 4.0 update — it feels like an unrecognizable phone compared to before.

As for the bloatware apps on 4.1, what really bothers me is that this wasn’t communicated beforehand in the update notes, which only mentioned “system improvement,” only to then force users into a mandatory installation screen afterward.

It’s honestly disappointing, because I genuinely love Nothing’s identity, but I absolutely hate feeling like I’m being misled or treated like an idiot.

MonsheWhisky app services is very well communicated way before than you’ve recieved this update… this was everywhere on community and also on internet… that’s criticized enough that nothing have to make it removable…

JP he means it was not on the official update page where everything about the update is listed, it being on the whole internet is a different thing they should have mentioned it in the changelog as well

They lied though - where are the curated apps? Why is it all low quality borderline malware?

JP man don’t care.
You need to clearly state that in the update information, because not everyone spends their life checking social media posts or browsing a company’s community forums.

You can’t just write “software improvement” and completely fail to mention the addition of bloatware — it’s a matter of transparency.

Before the update, I didn’t have that software on my phone. After the update, I do. That makes it essential for users to know exactly what they are installing on their device.

But strange thing is that why devices receiving it now?? It’s been added in cmf and some nothing phones in January…
