Nothing phone 3 power button issue

I am faced with a serious problem. pressing the power button sometimes triggers a double tap and naturally opens the camera. there is no pattern of double-tapping. the button has no physical damage. what could it be and has anyone come across this?

nilglht i don’t remember exactly but some other device also has this problem… and there was some app that causing this issue… try uninstalling recently installed app and restart and see if this issue get solved or not..

I faced the same thing. Contacted nothing support.

Did what they asked me to…

Safe mode.

Clearing the cache.

But I uninstalled few recent apps and everything is normal , it has been a month and the glitch has not reoccurred.

Maybe check what action has been assigned to double-pressing your power button, and, modify in:

Settings/Special features/Gestures/Double press power button/

JP thank you for your advice. physically, the button feels fine. double triggering occurs unpredictably from pressing, from the position of the phone, from the place where you press. It’s just that the system registers a double tap in 40% of cases. this can happen 2-3 times in a row, and then it will work fine. wonders

nilglht okayy… fid you tried common troubleshooting steps??? Like compressed air or cleaning with brush..?

You can send in the feedback section from your phone , they will reach out to you. They were actually very prompt about this.

I didn’t expect this kind of promptness specially for after sales service.
