Hey everyone 👋
Not too long ago I wrapped up my latest Board meeting as your Community Board Observer, so wanted to share a quick update on what we discussed, both what’s been landing well, and where I’ve been pushing your feedback.
There’s been some really good momentum over the past few months.
The RCB title sponsorship has gone down really well, especially within the India community. There’s a clear sense that Nothing is investing more into that market, which people are happy to see and the fact that some of you managed to go to an IPL game, makes it even more real.

The latest (a) series launch - comprising Phone (4a), Phone (4a) Pro and Headphone (a) - landed really well, especially the fact that a variety of colours were available at launch. A lot of you have been calling out how good it is to finally have more choice from launch, and not waiting a few months later for a different colour. It’s fair to say that early attention was on the (4a), but over time the (4a) Pro has actually seen the most engagement, which has been interesting to watch.
A few other positives we covered:

On the product side:
Essential Space updates are continuing to build nicely, with new features being well received such as Essential Voice and cloud storage support, the latest addition to the collection.
Nothing Warp had a strong initial reaction, with most users responding positively at launch.
Alongside the positives, I also made sure to raise some of the key frustrations coming from the community.
The India store launch was one of them. While the excitement was there, there were frustrations around communication, particularly around wristband timings and general event management.
OS rollout timelines are still unclear, especially in the most recent instance of when OS 4.1 was released for the recent Phone (4a) and Phone (4a) Pro. Whilst OS 4.1 is now rolling out across Nothing and CMF devices, in general there was very little communication previous to this about such devices, which has been noticed, and I pushed for more transparency for future OS rollout timelines. I’ll be directly working with the team going forward to coordinate how to ensure clarity is delivered for all devices, when it comes to OS rollout timelines.
Availability in India came up again as well:
Headphone (a) is still not available, with very little communication around it.
CMF Watch 3 Pro — which was raised last time — still hadn’t at the time of the meeting received any real external update. This has since been addressed, and confirmed on X that it is now available.

On Nothing Warp, while the launch itself was mostly positive, there was some confusion around the sudden takedown without communication. That lack of clarity led to some negative sentiment and avoidable noise. The team acknowledged that this situation should’ve been handled better, and that in the future there will be processes in place to minimize this should a similar situation occur again.
Overall, there’s a lot of strong momentum right now, especially around product launches, campaigns, and community engagement.
At the same time, there are still some clear gaps when it comes to communication and availability, and those are the areas I’ll keep pushing on.
As always, I’m representing what you’re saying — so keep the feedback coming.
