Alexshax exactly! Since there is a considerable part of the screen that is wasted by sensors, they found a way to make it more āusefulā. Notice that I used inverted commas because imo itās not useful at all. Itās damn ugly.
Since our Nothing phones have only a very small hole for the selfie cam, I donāt find any reason to mess with it. Why create a āfeatureā that only exists on iPhones for the purpose of disguising that huge notch? It would be horrible to feel that Nothing is copying iOS in useless ways.
There is software available on the Play Store for users that want to imitate the iPhoneās dynamic island. Nothing doesnāt need to design apps for every little thing that already exists. Itās like solving problems that arenāt there. Itās just my two cents on this subject.
