I imagine that, some weeks ago, a meeting happened where someone asked: “when should we schedule the time for our first launch?” Considering how spread the Nothing Community is across the globe, I think that their decision had a lot of thought behind it. It always fascinated me the fact that when I am seeing the moon in the sky, someone is seeing the sunlight. It’s almost like living in parallel dimensions, when you think about it. When the Nothing event starts, it will be 14:00/15:00 in Europe, 06:00-9:00 in the US, 18:30 in India and 19:00 in Japan. This made me wonder about the different ways the Community is going to live the moment: * **What will you be doing by the time we discover the earbuds for the first time?** Will you be able to watch it live? If so, are you going to be enjoying your favorite beverage? Or maybe you will have popcorn or some snacks as a substitute for your meal? Will you have to hide in a closet at work, so you can watch it away from your boss, or will you be in the public transport, trying not to miss a detail (nor your stop)? Let’s get ready for the launch as a Community, sharing rituals, the preparations, or just the pure excitement of counting the minutes until it finally happens. And when it does…

Archive (bot) It somewhat feels like it was just last week that Carl was announcing his new company and yet, here we are, only a few hours away from discovering all the details about the ear (1).

To answer your question, here in Portugal the event will be after the lunch break, so I’ll just start working a little bit later on Tuesday’s afternoon. I plan to follow the presentation from start to finish - one point of interest is how long it’s going to be, having in consideration this is their first event.

No snacks for me, I am afraid, no, not even Cheetos. Just some good old water on the side or perhaps I’ll have an espresso (one of my favorite beverages, if you can call it one, hah) during the first few minutes.

Hope that everyone who is interested in following the presentation has the opportunity to do so. Perhaps we’ll have some nice YouTube videos immediately after. I am pretty sure the ear (1) are already in the hands of some reviewers. Fingers crossed.

As for the event, it’s working hours for me, so no time to see it live, not even inside some closet. 😛

Curios to see what they have planned, my guess is that we will have something original for sure and with some surprises planned.

I completely agree, time sometimes can be so awkward; it feels like yesterday when we learned about Carl’s new project and just this morning when we joined this Community.

For me, in Spain, it will also be around lunch time. I’m planning on having a Sonic-speed lunch so I won’t miss any single second. It is understandable that you won’t be eating Cheetos, that would be cheetibalism. 😅
