Add true dark mode on Nothing Phone Display like the other brands of phone like Apple and Samsung to save more battery.

Maybe True Dark Mode will solve the grayish display. At the same brightness of 16%, the Motorola Fusion 30 Oled on the right is 2x brighter (more contrast) than the Nothing on the left.

I would love to see Nothing OS finally bring a true dark mode. The OLED displays really need it more than ever.

Nothing team, please consider adding a true dark/amoled mode in future OS updates. It’s something I have been using and in love with in my previous devices. And it always looked better in my eyes than normal dark mode.

The black mode does look insanely cool on NOS, it saves battery and doesn’t look horrendous like the slate gray. I hope they implement it in the latest updates!

Yes a totally black screen in OLED or amoled with monochrome theme will be great!!! Also will save lots of battery too

There is no significant improvement in battery saving from using pure black theme as compared to that in the dark grey theme. It has been tested several times before with amoled displays.
Monochrome or deep black makes a high contrast with white fonts. It may look cool for a minute but after a few minutes it puts a lot of strain on eyes. Dark grey is much more comfortable for eyes.
High contrast areas with static objects on screen can cause quick screen burn in OLED panels.

That’s why, Darth Vader is not welcome anymore.

So while I’m satisfied with the material theme, and the way it changes colors of UI to match the color scheme, I would really like an option for an AMOLED Black throughout the UI - the quick tiles, the app drawer، basically everywhere.

Edit: AN AMOLED Black with red outlines similar to how I think OnePlus 7 had with the pre-merger Oxygen OS, but obviously with the unique nothing touch.

I’m not sure this would require a major update to implement. I wrote this to see how many people share the same thought and maybe, catch the attention of the developers.

I’d love to see an absolute dark mode, which utilizes the Amoled displays in Nothing Phones. I personally don’t like the dark mode now, as the black has a shade to it according to the wallpaper. Waiting to see this as an option in Nothing OS 3.0 build.

Hey mate, this is a common request but not currently available in Nothing OS. Hopefully it’ll be in a future update. Why don’t you submit it as feedback? Settings > System > Feedback.
