Every couple of hours my phone 2 starts to suffer from “ghost touches”. Meaning the screen acts like someone is touching or swiping it. By that apps are open...

Hello Everyone,
i’m experiencing this issue since day one (like 2 weeks ago) i had this phone. After some testing i’ve found out it mostlly happens when the display is cold (happend most of the time when i was outside with temperatures below 4° C).

I like this phone very much, but as i’m experiencing this issue more frequently (3 to 10 times a day) im
slowly thinking of returning the phone…

i would appreciate some more info about how frequently this happens on your side or if you have observed
some similarities when the problem occurred.

I’m going to try the beta and report back if the behaviour changes 🙂

I didnt experience ghost touches but my phone 2 sometimes do not register my touches, and these occur very often, this occurs espicially while playing COC or trying to go to recent apps panel. I tried to raise a concern my sending a feedback to nothing, but they suggested to turn on enhance touch response. But turning it on always makes the problem worse. I am unable to recreate the problem to show you or nothing, as the screen do not even senses my touch input so no touch pointers or show touches work.

I have nothing phone 2. Randomly it starts as if some one has taken control of it . It opens random apps and when try to restart it takes around 5-10 minutes to restart as screen touch doesnot work as per you finger location. Please how get this resolved.

To make it easier to restart you could use the side key to do so… can be set up somewhere in the settings (press and hold power….)

Hi, all,

My NP2 had this problem the first day I got it. Tried everything I could think of and I just updated to the stable 2.5 version now but the problem is still there. The phone is quite unusable to be honest.

Nothing needs to sort it out ASAP.

Hello all. I have same problem sins I bought NP2 3 weeks ago, but I found that it happends only if I turn display on HDR or at 120 hz, on 60 hz it works fine and no ghost touches appears. So I think it is problem with software that controls HDR and all screen.

DariusVileikis I’ve tried this, but didn’t help in my case.
Was online shopping just yesterday while this issue appeared, the consequences:
NP2 ordered some expensive things, thankfully i could abort the order in time after a restart of the phone.

I’m quite fed up with this. If this is not fixed soon, i’ll get a refund for the phone.

I haven’t had any ghost touch issues for two days now. There were two Nothing launcher updates last few days. If you still having this problem try update your launcher. Hopefully it fixes this issue.

My NP2 has 1 week and 3 days of ghost touch issues.

the strange thing is that the problem only happen while i was in italy visiting some friends, here in spain ghots touch isses dont happend. i think mybe the wheater causes this (high humidity in italy).

someone with this problem?

Ramiro Maybe the house of your Italian friends had resident ghosts😉

Seriously, there’s a post in this thread suggesting that updating the nothing launcher from Google play store exorcised the ghosts.

You may want to try that ritual.

I have a similar issue. Sometimes random touches appear. It mostly happens in cold environments (below 5 degrees Celsius) or when the phone lays below an open window and gets cold. Restarting the phone fixes it or when I press the phone slightly between both palms of my hands. I don’t know if it’s the pressure or the warmth though. It rarely appears a second time after that for the next couple of hours. That was before the last update, I’ll do some testing with the new android version later.

I contacted the support, they told me to recreate the issue and capture it with a screen log but I’m pretty sure dialing is impossible while the ghost touches happen. Now I should send it to them and they’ll try fixing it or provide a new phone if they can’t fix it.

Update:

I had the issue on NOS2 and after the update to 2.5 and then 2.5.1A, for me it only happens outside when its cold/humid

It got a bit better overtime but after updating it’s gotten worse

I have updated the launcher and everything in the play store, no changes

While trying to reply your coments Ghost touches come again.

Nothing Launcher is up to date. Tried Nova Launcher Whit same issues. I think is a hardware problem. Now in home at 20 celcius problem is happening again

I still have 3 days to get back NP2 to store and get money back. I think will do It. Its a good phone but this problem is annoing.

Update after 2.5.1.A:

Went outside yesterday, temperature was below zero, had no ghost touches. Thought it maybe got fixed. Went outside today, -5 degrees, after 10 to 15 minutes, the ghost touches appeared. Fixed it by holding it between my hand palms with light pressure.

I think I’ll send them my device but I’m not sure if they can fix it or if a new phone doesn’t have the same issue.

AndreasGrammel Im in Nothing Launcher Beta now. Ghost touches only happend when using phone after been charging for long time. Im wating response from devs log review.

Does it happen when you change environment temperature fast? Try it. Same problem here whit NP2
