The ring is a less intrusive form factor that does its job without bothering the user. The glyph has a crucial function in communicating important notifications as seen on the Nothing Phone.
If I put a screen on top of the ring to show notifications, it would lose its meaning.
However, I’m curious about exploring new interactions such as calling and voicemail through the finger
